That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, Manager, Logistics are responsible for managing the logistics team and more specifically, will ensure vehicle movement, efficient storage, and inventory accuracy, while achieving annual supply chain objectives and KPI targets.

In long, the Manager, Logistics is responsible for:

  • Supervise and monitor the team’s daily activities
  • Prepare reports, track performance against KPIs and assist in monitoring performance to improve operational efficiencies
  • Exhibit sound logic and problem-solving skills
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Design and implement policies, as well as follow company policies and procedures
  • Manage VivaDesk, ensuring that tickets are being completed in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively in person, phone, and email

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to talk and write with confidence, charisma, and competence for a wide variety of audiences including management.

  • Organization and time management skills in spades. You’ll be handling multiple projects and deadlines that will require you to prioritize then re-prioritize then re-prioritize again.
  • Passionate and goal oriented. We are looking for someone that is enthusiastic about their work and is passionate about not only meeting their goals but exceeding them.

The Specifics.

  • 5+ years of experience in a logistics role
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong background in business processes, decision making, and working in a result-driven environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills.
