What’s Under the Hood

DriveTime Family of Brands includes in-house financing and servicing through Bridgecrest, which is one of the country’s leading financial servicing providers. Bridgecrest services roughly $17 billion in finance receivables for DriveTime and other third parties. We service auto loans across a wide credit spectrum with the intent of creating a strong path to vehicle ownership for our customers.

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

General Summary: What business need does this position exist to fill? (Maximum of 3 Sentences)

This position involves assigning qualifying accounts for repossession, supporting DriveTime dealerships with reversing a car loan for reselling and monitor vehicle transportation post-repossession. The role requires attention to detail, timeliness, and dealing with a variety of systems to accomplish tasks.

Essential Job Functions: What will be required in the role?

  • Complete a thorough review of delinquent accounts before creating an order for repossession
  • Coordinate the transportation between the repossession vendor and dealership
  • Partner with the DriveTime/and client dealerships to complete vehicle inspection
  • Undo loans, calculate and assist in processing refunds owed to customers in a timely manner
  • Assist management in reviewing vehicle damages for escalation
  • Send documentation to customers to outline the unwind process and the impacts to the customer
  • Work within our servicing platform as system of record for customer information and payment schedules
  • Work with internal teams/depts for research, inquiries or requests in order to resolve account directives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Clear, concise and professional written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, and ability to maintain a consistent and positive demeanor in a fast-paced work environment

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to ensure the achievement of assigned performance objectives
  • Ability to effectively apply professional acumen and communication skills to favorably resolve issues escalated from internal and external customers
  • Ability to drive departmental compliance with FDCPA requirements
  • Self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities; ability to self-start
  • Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner

Work Experience/Education: Minimum education and/or experience requirements necessary to perform this job

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in collections, customer service, sales or retail industry

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 75% of the time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
  • Frequently communicate with internal and external customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • This position could require moving objects up to 20 pounds
