DriveTime Needs an Analyst, Loan Valuation

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as a Loan Valuation Analyst you will be responsible for owning, analyzing, and monitoring our internal Loan Valuation model. You will leverage strong technical skills to offer insight into best-in-class valuation methodologies and solutions. You will regularly meet with key team members, leadership, and business partners to present analysis on results that includes overall profitability, unit-based econometrics and valuation, model optimization, and various other business topics as required.

In long, the Analyst, Loan Valuation is responsible for:

  • Working with business partners and other key teams within the organization to develop a strong understanding of internal stakeholders needs relying on our Loan Valuation model.
  • Leveraging strong technical and analytical skills to develop comprehensive valuation strategies based on internal performance and market indicators.
  • Constructing in-depth quantitative analysis by processing, manipulating, and studying large datasets by leveraging strong SQL, Python, and Excel skills.
  • Identifying trends of risk exposure as it relates to various loan segmentations to provide recommendations to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Leveraging emerging technologies and critical thinking skills to continually innovate and automate existing methodologies, processes, and reporting. Design, develop, test, and implement new products and solutions.
  • Effectively communicate with concise insights and/or visualizations utilizing software such as Tableau while partnering collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders in the organization and their partners.
  • Being self-driven and able to take initiative to further the success of the business.

The Specifics.

  • Bachelor's in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or hard science.
  • 2+ years of experience in business, risk, loan valuation, data analytics, pricing, and/or predictive modelling.
  • Strong statistical skills and experience focused on business decision making and problem solving.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, collaborative teamwork, intellectual horsepower, curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with coding languages such as SQL, R, Java, or Python.
  • Prior experience in regression model development and implementation is a plus.
