That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?
The Internal IT Audit Manager is responsible for managing the IT audit team’s day to day operations of various IT Operational audits, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) scoping and related work, and Regulatory Compliance audits for the organization to ensure compliance with DriveTime policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
In Long:
Oversee and manage the planning, design, and conduct of IT operational audits, ICFR compliance program, regulatory compliance audit program, or other IT audits and special projects as required.
Ensure that IT audits are conducted according to audit standards and that procedures are properly documented to support IT audit findings, and that quality and reasonable recommendations are made.
Prepare and present reports of findings and recommendations to senior management.
Serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders with regards to IT audit initiatives, manage expectations, and foster cross functional relationships.
Facilitate and communicate requests for information between internal audit and departments/teams and routinely monitor the timeliness of material submission.
Provide guidance and leadership to IT audit staff as necessary including coaching, development, and annual performance reviews.
Assist in conducting the annual risk assessment process and develop and manage the IA staff schedule to ensure timely execution of the annual IT audit plan.
Review internal policies and procedures to ensure they are written clearly, comprehensively, provide sufficient internal controls, and are in compliance with applicable regulations.
Identify and assess areas of risk within the internal control environment and make recommendations for improvements to existing internal controls, as necessary.
Engage in DriveTime's culture, including the development of professional relationships with audit personnel, management, and DriveTime employees.
Monitor developments in the regulatory environment and Financial Services Industry, analyze the impact of developments on new and existing programs and practices, and communicate assessment of the impact to management and affected employees, as necessary.
Pursue continuing education and/or professional development as appropriate.
Other special projects as assigned.
The Specifics:
Successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology / systems and/or accounting / finance or a related information technology and / or business field.
5+ years of experience in an internal or external auditing environment with 1+ years spent managing direct reports.
Experience in executing IT Audit programs and workpaper documentation.
Experience managing IT general controls audits as part of a larger ICFR framework.
CIA and/or CISA designation is preferred.
Position requires approximately 5% - 10% overnight and domestic travel.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Visio, & Excel. Experience building and executing queries in SQL is a plus.
Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and comprehension skills, including the ability to organize, conceptually interpret and clearly communicate material developed collaboratively via the input of multiple parties.
Ability to quickly comprehend objectives and develop actionable working plans, prioritizing / adapting when needed.
Ability to consider process improvements and innovative thinking to drive further effectiveness / efficiency.
Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders (both internal and external) at all levels to help foster a positive culture and create a collaborative environment.
