Bridgecrest, the finance side of the business, is part of the DriveTime family. As a direct service provider for DriveTime and other partners, Bridgecrest is committed to ensuring the success of each customer along their path to vehicle ownership.

As an impound adjuster, this role involves all aspects of the impounds process to arrive at a decision to determine the customer has obtained the vehicle from impound, secure the unit from an impound/repair facility or abandon the vehicle due to negative returns at auction. Negotiations in this role with the impound/repair facilities is integral to the business to ensure securing the highest value of the vehicle when sold at auction in order to resolve a customer’s deficiency balance.

In long, you will:

  • Effectively perform all job functions of Impounds Coordinator.
  • Work within our servicing platform as system of record for customer information and payment schedules.
  • Utilize approved databases, and internet searches, to locate leads to repossess collateralized asset.
  • Route all impounded accounts to proper collection queues.
  • Document information about location of vehicles, reason for impound, and total fees due to secure vehicles in the system.
  • Research state specific statutes based on Impound scenario.
  • Negotiate with the impound facilities on the fees.
  • Complete state-specific impound packets to secure vehicles from impound yards
  • Make decision based on condition, fees, and profitability on whether to pick up or abandon the vehicle.
  • Assign collateral for recovery, utilizing an approved vendor and ensuring customer account is noted accordingly.
  • Document accounts when vehicles are repossessed and routes accounts to remarketing department.
  • Document and routes accounts to abandon queues if the vehicle was determined not to be worth repossession.

The Specifics.

  • High School or GED required
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • In Office- Monday to Friday schedule (no Saturdays!)
  • Pay at $19 per hour!!

  • Negotiation experience is preferred.
