DriveTime Needs an Assistant Director, Pricing & Promotions

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as the Assistant Director, Pricing & Promotions, you will aid in expanding the universe of customers through developing analytics strategies, resource plans, and leadership to ensure department and team strategies are established and executed. You will leverage your experience in creating profitable and responsive target markets and help drive the sustained growth we are experiencing.

In long, as the Assistant Director, Pricing & Promotions, you are responsible for:

  • Leading new initiatives using credit risk management, direct marketing, and pricing to drive customers to Drivetime and recapture existing/past customers.

  • Partner with cross functional teams including marketing, product, operations, retail, legal, and compliance to plan and execute campaigns.

  • Manage and mentor new analysts working on strategic and risk problems.

  • Initialize and drive AB testing, analysis, learning plans, and optimization of new/existing outreach campaigns.

  • Analyze test results, track channel metrics, and communicate performance to team and leadership.

The Specifics.

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, statistics, engineering, or related hard science discipline.

  • 4+ years of analytics experience preferably in consumer analytics.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, collaborative teamwork, intellectual horsepower, curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail.

  • Extensive experience using analysis to drive strategy, with marketing analytics or consumer credit risk experience being a plus.

  • Extensive experience performing data analysis and summarizing findings in executive-level presentations.

  • Experienced mentor and/or leader.

  • Strong understanding of data sources/warehouses, data mining, and data analysis techniques preferably in SQL or Python programming languages.

Nice to Haves.

  • 4+ years in financial services, strong preference for direct mail marketing analytics experience and auto finance.

  • Ability to simplify complexity and communicate statistical and analytical concepts and findings to executive, operational, and technical audiences with appropriate levels of detail and emphasis.

  • Experienced project manager able to individually contribute while leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
