Senior Systems Engineer, Information Security (IAM)

- Design and Implementation: Design, develop and implement IAM solutions and infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient identity and access management.
- Process Automation: Lead the automation of IAM processes, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
- Application Integrations: Architect and integrate IAM solutions with various applications, systems, and cloud services, ensuring seamless operation and security.
- Architecture Participation: Participate in IAM architecture and design discussions, providing technical expertise and leadership.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve advanced IAM-related issues, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.
- Script Development: Develop and maintain advanced scripts and tools to support IAM operations and automation.
- Compliance: Ensure IAM solutions comply with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements and recommend improvements.
- Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to junior IAM engineers and other team members.
- Project Management: Lead technical support for IAM projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring successful implementations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in IAM to recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
What we would like to see in your Tech Stack:
- Extensive experience with IAM tools, technologies, cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Okta, EntraID, JumpCloud, and Active Directory, GCP, AWS, etc).
- Demonstrable proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, SQL) for automation tasks.
What we would like to see in your experience:
- Deep understanding of IAM protocols and standards (e.g., SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP).
- Successful completion of multiple audits and/or assessment for various control frameworks and standards such as SOX, PCI-DSS, NIST, SOC-2, ISO 27001/2.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative as part of a team and make difficult decisions.
- Expert communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with cloud IAM solutions and hybrid environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest IAM trends and technologies.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience of IAM or a combination of IAM and other related technical fields.
- Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience implementing and
- managing IAM solutions.
- Four (4) or more years with a proven track record of automating IAM processes and integrating solutions with various applications and systems.
- Three (3) or more years query and database experience using SQL, Powershell or Python for Snowflake, Tableau, SQL Server, Sigma, or other comparable languages or databases.
- Preferred but not required: Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CIDPRO, GIAC-GISP or other information security related certifications (above beginner level).
- Preferred but not required: SQL certification or similar.
