IAM Engineer (Okta) - Remote

In short, as an IAM Engineer - Okta (Systems Engineer, Information Security), you’ll help shape secure, seamless access experiences across our organization, balancing technical expertise with a people-first mindset to provide the right access to the right job at the right time.
In long, as an IAM Engineer specializing in Okta, you’ll play a key role in shaping and securing our identity infrastructure through building secure, scalable, and user-friendly identity access solutions that support our growing organization. You’ll lead efforts to automate IAM processes, integrate systems across cloud and hybrid environments to ensure users have secure, reliable, and streamlined access to the tools and data they need. This person will be solving complex problems, staying ahead of industry trends, and making a meaningful impact through secure access.
What we would like to see in your Tech Stack:
- Strong technical expertise in IAM protocols (SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth, etc.)
- Extensive experience with IAM tools, technologies, cloud and hybrid environments, and other related I.T. proficiencies (e.g., Okta, EntraID, JumpCloud, and Active Directory, GCP, AWS, etc).
- Demonstrable proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, SQL) for automation tasks or certifications are bonus points
- Clear understanding and successful audit readiness related to I.T. control frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOX, NIST, SOC-2, ISO 27001/2.
The Specifics.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years utilizing Okta including a deep understanding of modern authentication protocols, user lifecycle management, APIs, and automation using Okta Workflows is required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and managing IAM solutions.
- 4+ years with a proven track record and a knack for automation and integration, of streamlining IAM processes across applications and systems.
- Seasoned and forward-thinking IAM professional who brings both deep technical expertise and a collaborative spirit to the table.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, regardless of technology
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Leadership, initiative, and independent decision-making are key in this role, along with strong project management skills and a proactive mindset.
