In short, this Data Analyst II role is for a detail-oriented, curious problem solver who thrives on executing well-defined analytical work with precision. You’ll focus on turning clearly scoped business questions into accurate, trustworthy metrics and analyses that support monitoring, experimentation, and automation efforts. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role supporting our Loan Servicing team with strong SQL skills, thoughtful use of AI tools, and a willingness to ask “why” are key to success.

  • Translating defined problem statements into concrete analytical tasks using established internal patterns.

  • Applying prescribed analytical methods, such as hypothesis testing and comparative analysis, to answer business questions.

  • Using AI-assisted tools to support SQL development, think through analytical steps and edge cases, and validate logic and results before delivery.

  • Writing clean, readable SQL to produce requested KPIs and analytical outputs that others can easily review and maintain.

  • Partnering with senior analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment before execution begins.

  • Supporting experimentation and comparative analysis by accurately implementing defined test and control logic.

  • Contributing to scalable analytical solutions by following established pipelines, validation patterns, and documentation standards.

  • Raising questions when assumptions, inputs, or requirements are unclear and escalating risks early to prevent rework.

So What Kind of Folks Are We Looking for?

  • Naturally curious thinkers who like to understand the “why” behind the numbers.

  • Detail-oriented professionals who take pride in accurate, high-quality work.

  • Clear communicators who are comfortable collaborating with senior analysts and business partners.

  • Thoughtful team players who ask good questions and surface risks early.

  • Individuals who are eager to grow their independence in problem framing and analytical design.

The Specifics:

  • 2+ years experience executing analytical work against clearly defined problem statements.

  • A degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative or analytical field is preferred.

  • Working proficiency in SQL and Excel with a strong emphasis on correctness, clarity, and readability.

  • Data visualization tools

  • Familiarity with common analytical methods, including hypothesis testing and basic comparative analysis.

  • Strong attention to detail, quality control, and a willingness to seek clarification when things don’t line up.

Nice to Have:

  • Educational or practical background in statistics or quantitative analysis.

  • Python for analysis, automation, or data validation.

  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to support analysis, code development, or problem-solving.

  • A genuine interest in building deeper skills in experimentation design, automation, and analytical methodology.
