Analyst, Lending Optimization

In short, as a Lending Analyst, you will be responsible for working directly with our Retail stores to review, evaluate and resolve their requests to work outside of our underwriting guidelines

In long, you will: 

• Review incoming exception requests via phone calls and internal ticketing systems, evaluating inconsistencies in documentation, underwriting conditions, and compliance items.

• Conduct thorough analysis to determine whether granting an exception supports company profitability and risk tolerance.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of approved, pending, and denied exceptions to support reporting and audit/compliance reviews.

• Collaborate with cross-functional departments and maintain a strong understanding of loan origination and servicing processes.

• Support after-hours operations by leveraging broad knowledge of policies and procedures across Lending Operations.

• Deliver high-quality service while interacting with team members and partners across multiple departments and time zones.

• Solve complex and unique challenges on a case-by-case basis, demonstrating resourcefulness and ownership.

• Maintain timely and professional communication, ensuring clarity, alignment, and efficiency in each interaction.

• Juggle multiple requests and responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

The Specifics. 

• 3+ yrs experience executing operational processes, reviewing and assessing consumer credit application documents, and identifying potential misrepresentation

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Retail/Sales partners and Operations

• Proven ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively, especially in ambiguous or high-pressure situations, or guiding peers through complex scenarios.

• Ability to work Retail hours, including evenings and Saturday
