That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as a Product Manager for the Bridgecrest Loss Mitigation group at DriveTime, you’ll be responsible for prioritization, communication, feature definition and regular agile rituals required to enhance and optimize the customer experience at the end of account life. You will work with a wide variety of business, technology and design stakeholders to help the team achieve their strategic goals in an organized and timely manner. In long, our Product Managers are responsible for:

  • Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and development team to define features.

  • Working with Senior Leadership to help set the product vision and strategy.

  • Working with tech leads to articulate acceptance criteria and understand business rules in order to identify solutions.

  • Working with outside vendors and 3rd parties to optimize and enhance external integrations and services.

  • Obsessing over customer experience while understanding timelines and the value of continuous iteration.

  • Using quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions

  • Defining and continuously refining a roadmap tied to organizational strategy, including milestones and phases.

  • Managing backlog of features and iterative improvements.

  • Working with stakeholders and tech leads to ensure features and stories are continuously groomed and ready for intake.

  • Ensuring business value and high-level scope are clearly defined.

  • Serving as a gatekeeper for high-level requirements.

  • Obtaining consensus on project scope through conversations with business stakeholders and tech leads.

  • Helping to make build vs. buy decisions as we evaluate technical solutions to problems.

  • Integrating and working with third party platforms.

  • Organizing and collecting business requirements.

  • Looking for scope opportunities and adjusting timelines and targets as needed.

  • Providing frequent communication to leadership and stakeholders on progress.

  • Serving as a point of contact for initiatives involving multiple units to ensure efficient cross-team coordination.

  • Conducting demos with stakeholders.

  • Holding postmortems (retros) to evaluate lessons learned.

The Specifics.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, bachelor’s degree in business and/or technology, MBA preferred.

  • 3+ years of Product Management or relevant experience in a fast-paced business environment.

  • High-level knowledge of various product management methodologies (i.e. agile/scrum).

  • Experience in capturing and articulating business value and acceptance criteria to agile development teams.

  • Experience using Microsoft product suite: Word, Excel, Visio, Project (Or other various product management tools such as monday.com or Jira).

  • Experience working with SQL to query databases.

  • Experience with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience working in Loss Mitigation functions (Recovery, Remarketing, Settlements, Titles, etc.) a plus!

  • Experience working in a regulated industry a plus!

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and keep stakeholders informed with relevant information.
