That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?
In short, as an IT Manager, you will manage and support the IT support staff. The IT support team is responsible for the day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting of employee's technical issues across DriveTime locations and remote sites.
In long, our IT Managers are responsible to:
- Manage and support the IT Support staff by training and developing, 1 on 1s, annual appraisals,
- Oversee projects and development rollouts
- Oversee metrics (SLA breach rates, survey results, calls stats)
- Evaluate ticket trends based on volume and category
- Build and maintain partnerships with other IT business groups and operational/retail teams.
- Assist the team with calls and tickets when necessary
- Hold the team accountable for performance
- Customer-centric mindset
- Call Center heavy/high volume
So What Kind of Folks Are We Looking for?
DriveTime is currently looking for a knowledgeable and motivated IT Manager to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity with a great deal of growth potential. The ideal candidate must be technically adept and prof and have over 3 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Organization and time management skills in spades. You’ll be handling multiple projects and deadlines that will require you to prioritize then re-prioritize then re-prioritize again.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - the ability to talk and write with confidence, charisma, and competence for a wide variety of audiences.
- Detail-oriented. Okay we know it’s on about every job description - but we really mean it!
- Team Orientation. You appropriately include others in decision-making. You genuinely care about co-workers’ wellbeing and input and are interested in developing collaborative working relationships characterized by trust and mutual respect.
- Decisiveness. You’re able to make timely, informed decisions that take into account facts, goals, constraints, and risks.

The Specifics.
- 3+ years leadership/management experience
- 3+ years’ experience in the IT field
- Technical Support /Help Desk experience
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
- Related IT Certifications
- College Degree in a related field
- Experience managing people/teams remotely
- Willingness to continue to learn
- Strong Leadership experience
