DriveTime Needs an Insurance Compliance Analyst

At DriveTime, we are most than just a used car dealership.  We have an entire family of brands that consist of not only auto retail but finance, warranties, ancillary products and insurance.  BlueShore is the insurance arm of the organization where we underwrite insurance products that are uniquely tailored for our affiliates and their consumers who purchase, lease and/or finance used automobiles.

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as an Insurance Compliance Analyst you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of our property and casualty insurance carrier and have an opportunity to become a vital part of a growing insurance team that provides day to day support, including legal, risk and business analysis.

In long, the Insurance Compliance Analyst is responsible for:

  • Provide compliance support assistance to the insurance team as requested.
  • Maintain and update compliance filing deadlines and related databases.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters including record keeping, board meetings, and related filings.
  • Partner with the team on investigating and resolving consumer, commercial, and employee disputes.
  • Conduct research and prepare memorandums.
  • Maintain and file departmental records, including insurance policies and rate forms.
  • Partner with the organization to respond to governmental inquiries and examination.
  • Research and review new rules and regulations applicable to the business.
  • Assist in preparation of company policies and procedures.
  • As is relates to contracts, follows-up on outstanding legal documents/issues, as needed.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business.

The Specifics.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at an insurance company or other regulated financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience with compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go “above and beyond” to meet requirements of the position when required.
