Director, Strategic Partnerships

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will own business coverage for new and existing partners, including oversight of all business aspects for idea generation of strategic initiatives, the onboarding and legal negotiation processes of new partners, and partnering with internal business lines to implement partnerships.

In addition.

  • Responsible for managing the business relationship with our partners across our various digital retail & credit products
  • Support the entire cycle of business execution from front end partner acquisition and contract negotiation through program monitoring and ongoing relationship management
  • Establish value creation hypotheses, identify key areas of focus and call out gating items
  • Create value-add insights including identifying the underlying value proposition through data analyses
  • Take ownership of business initiatives, meeting agendas, data requests, documents and coordination with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Monitor, on an ongoing basis, via reporting and documentation, information concerning partner performance, abilities, and industry to determine that the business is at an acceptable risk level
  • Attend community and/or industry-specific forums, conferences and/or meetings in order to broaden relationship network and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, regulations, products, and competitors
  • Identify and address internal processes that can be improved or automated 
  • Train and mentor junior staff

The Specifics.

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services or SaaS Sales, preferably working in digital retail, consumer credit, or capital markets
  • Significant experience in market research, pitch ideation, and managing a full sales cycle
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, negotiation, client-relationship building, analytical and credit skills
