DriveTime Needs a Director of IT Solutions

In short, you’ll wear a variety of hats throughout the course of a day within the Bridgecrest/DriveTime/SilverRock family. This role is well suited for an individual who thrives in a rapidly changing environment and recognizes that change provides opportunity and with opportunity, growth! 

On any given day, you'll have the opportunity to mentor and positively impact an IT Solutions leader and their team (Product Owners, Solutions Analysts, and Quality Analysts), influence the business on strategic direction, collaborate with Software Engineering leads to research viable solutions for upcoming initiatives, communicate critical updates to business and IT leaders and assist in clearing obstacles for your teams as they surface!

In long, our Director of IT Solutions responsibilities are:

  • Acting as strategic & technical solutions liaison within a given line of business (track) of the Bridgecrest/DriveTime/SilverRock family
  • Leader of leaders within the Bridgecrest/DriveTime/SilverRock organizations -- mentorship and growth of your teams is top priority
  • Navigating innovative and adaptive personalities across the organization -- when to support the change and when to compromise
  • Identify execution opportunities within the teams of your given track in coordination with your Software and Data Engineering counterparts, following that up with the guidance and support needed within your teams to capitalize on those opportunities
  • Ensure solution decisions taking place within the track are aligned with the larger company roadmap and vision
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, accountability, & teamwork amongst your track
  • Company advocate for your teams and track -- what does your track need to be successful?
  • Supporting your IT Solutions Lead (Product Owner’s) as they and their teams navigate system design decisions, tradeoffs, plan releases, and automate quality controls in collaboration with Product Managers, technical experts, peers, and others
  • Working with our recruiting department to build high performing teams through candidate screenings and interviews 
  • Staying connected to your teams; ensuring they feel valued at Bridgecrest/DriveTime/SilverRock each and every day!
  • Serving as a point of contact for projects involving multiple units to ensure efficient cross-team coordination
  • Guiding Agile teams through all phases of the software development life cycle

The Specifics

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in business, technology or MBA preferred
  • 6+ years’ experience in Business/Solutions Analysis, Product Ownership, IT Solutions discipline, or relevant experience in a fast-paced business environment
  • 3+ years leadership experience
  • Proven experience leading agile software development teams
  • Understanding of Software Quality Assurance processes and ability to ensure quality is met
  • Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology quickly and explain it to both business & IT stakeholders
  • Experience in capturing and articulating business needs to Agile development teams
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft product suite, Miro, Target Process, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, OneNote
