DriveTime Needs a Director, HR Strategy & Projects

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as the Director, HR Strategy & Projects you will be the right-hand person to our Head of People, driving strategic business planning, support and direct change management throughout the Employee Experience organization.

In long, the Director, HR Strategy & Projects responsibilities include:

  • Proactive in escalating and resolving potential issues by calling them to the attention of the department head and identifying potential solutions. Has ability to question whether our initiatives match our strategy.

  • Drive a cohesive approach aligning to Change Management activities including Communications planning, training and stakeholder management.

  • Collaborate with the Employee Experience leadership team to define, prepare and communicate organization plans, including strategy, staffing, and development plans.

  • Support the Head of People in preparation of board, executive committee, and presentations.

  • Create and publish progress against plans. Plan and lead planning sessions with the management team.

  • Analyze and report performance based on strategies and business goals. Recommend areas needing improvement.

  • Continue to enhance transparency (dashboards) on performance.

The Specifics.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with emphasis in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area preferred

  • 5+ years of proven HR experience, predominantly in a leadership role, with a demonstrated advancement and progression of your HR knowledge and responsibilities

  • Demonstrated competence in high volume employee relations and performance management

  • Strong people-management competencies, with ability to manage across locations

  • Flexible and high tolerance for ambiguity

  • Able to work independently and within a team to achieve results

  • Strong business acumen, consulting, analysis, communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills.
