We have an exceptional opportunity for Data Architect that can help us disrupt the automotive and finance industry and take our technology to new heights. This person will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, and implementation of our data engineering capabilities at scale for Bridgecrest/DriveTime/SilverRock family.

In this position, you’ll expand the company's use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives. You’ll be working closely with enterprise architecture, data engineers, analytics teams, and various stakeholders to take ideas from discovery to production with scalable and well-engineered solutions. This leader will ensure that teams are successful in our data strategy modernization by partnering on roadmaps, providing technical guidance for new use cases, and defining solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the architecture, design and implementation of data management initiatives and best practices; including hands-on development and prototyping where needed
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, analytical teams, business sponsors, enterprise architecture, and broader engineering teams to bring products to production
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team engineers
  • Collaborate with other senior level engineers/architects to help shape and influence our modern data strategy leveraging cloud-first technologies with event driven data streams; including technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Kafka, and Snowflake
  • Create and maintain architectural vision, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Promote and encourage an environment of innovation and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Coordinate and lead technical discussions and decision making
  • Guide, mentor, and influence architectural direction and principles adoption
  • Maintain positive, productive relationships with external teams
  • Ability to quickly review, analyze, and understand complex software spanning multiple product teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in data engineering, solution architecture, business
    intelligence, business analytics or related field
  • Proficiency with building highly available enterprise grade data integration pipelines
  • Experience with optimization of data pipelines (Microsoft Azure, Snowflake)
  • Deep knowledge of architecting data platforms to include the following capabilities: data ingestion, data transformation, data quality, data cataloguing/discovery, data access.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud database technologies such as Azure, Snowflake, or similar
  • Understanding of data science techniques and MLOps
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Argo, SSIS, Informatica, or similar
  • Experience with enterprise data governance and data catalog tools such as Alation, Collibra, or similar
  • Ability to combine strong analytical and technical skills with business skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability in change management and conflict resolution
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
