DriveTime Needs a Analyst, Decision Science

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as the Decision Science Analyst you will be responsible for developing a new consumer Auto Lending product.  You will utilize a variety of programming languages and tools to help design, implement, test, and deploy a decision engine for Auto Loan Originations.   You will regularly meet with leadership and peers to present progress on results that includes regression testing, code review, procedures, data and platform integrations, process flow optimization, and various other topics as required. 

In long, our Decision Science Analyst are responsible for:

  • Supporting a holistic view across all business partners making recommendations on strategic business changes in regards to decision engineer architecture and design.
  • Integrating customer credit, origination, and performance data utilizing data objects such as JSON and XML to generate relevant, actionable insights.
  • Testing, configuring, and exposing multiple APIs via a variety of tools including Python Requests, Postman, and Swagger.
  • Demonstrating strong conceptual skills supported by rigorous process design to influence recommend strategic initiatives to senior management
  • Leveraging emerging technologies and critical thinking skills to continually innovate and automate existing methodologies, processes, and reporting. Design, develop, test, and implement new products and solutions.
  • Effectively communicate with concise insights and/or visualizations of processes utilizing software such as Miro while partnering collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders in the organization and their partners.
  • Being self-driven and able to take initiative to further the success of the business.

The Specifics.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in working with structured/unstructured data objects, programming, APIs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, collaborative teamwork, intellectual horsepower, curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Strong technical skills and experience focused on business decision making and problem solving.
  • Experienced project manager able to lead multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated skill and extended extensive experience with developing quantitative analysis in Excel.
  • Experience with coding languages such as SQL, R, Java, C#, or Python.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, collaborative teamwork, intellectual horsepower, curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Experienced project manager able to lead multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Ability to simplify complexity, in particular to communicate technical concepts and findings to a wide range of business, executive, and operational audiences with appropriate levels of detail and emphasis.
  • Prior experience with decision-engine design and implementation a plus
