I really enjoy working in the securitization side of our business and interacting with Investment Banks. I also like having the ability to take on new projects and improve processes when they need to be updated. There is a lot of freedom to discover and implement changes that benefit both the department and the company as a whole.
I really enjoy music, so I like to go to as many concerts as I can fit within a year. I have played the drums for over 15 years, which is where this comes from. I also love to travel, and have been all over the world. Hiking is also something I try and do on the weekends. Finally, I love to cook, especially BBQ. I got a smoker roughly a year ago and it has become a hobby of mine.
“Businesses often forget about the culture, and ultimately suffer for it.” –Tony Hsieh This is not the case for DriveTime, they have embodied a culture that allows growth for the company as well as the individual. All employees are given access to the resources they need to succeed. With an open door atmosphere, decisions are made by a group approach in which everyone’s opinions are valued.
Outside of work I like to remain active with my social circles, in the gym, play video games and spend time with family. The more time spent out in the Arizona sun hiking or in the pool, the better.
I enjoy the people at DriveTime most of all.
Oustide of work I spend time with the family, Fishing, Biking and Golfing.
I love the fact that I am able to provide relief and a solution for consumers who need a vehicle. There is nothing like putting a smile on someone's face by providing reliable transportation for their families. It is rewarding to be able to help people while having a great time doing it!
When I am not working I enjoy quality time with my family, relaxing at the beach, hitting the gym and traveling.
DriveTime emphasizes on transparency and dedication. The individuals that I work with on a daily basis make the job even more enjoyable with the amount of passion and intellectual ability they bring into the office every day. Everyone is always willing to help and the Liberty Home Office is beautiful. Having the ability to impact individuals on a mass scale is amazing and working for DriveTime is everything you could wish for and more!
When I am not working I enjoy playing basketball, snowboarding, hiking and lifting. Also, I love modeling, dancing, trying out new restaurants and helping others. My goal is to impact as many people in my life as possible and be the best version of myself.
As an IT manager and seasoned self-help geek, I’m intensely curious about what engages people, what makes work fulfilling and how teams can achieve their full potential. DriveTime’s high performance culture is a perfect outlet for that curiosity. Every day I get to work with intelligent and talented personalities that challenge me as a manager and humble me as a person. I think what attracts those types of people to DriveTime is the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that push the automotive industry forward while being valued for who they are.
Luckily, Arizona has a lot to offer outside work as well. I generally gravitate towards Phoenix’s vibrant Latin dance community or the world class mountain bike trails of Sedona. As a former professional musician I also get my fill of live music at local venues and festivals. Additionally, as an equities day trader, Phoenix’s time zone makes it possible to trade in the morning before local working hours while the US stock exchanges are open.
I enjoy the people I have met and work with at Drivetime. At Drivetime, you are constantly challenged to grow both personally and professionally. I like the diversity and the daily challenge of thinking about “why” and “how” we do things while being empowered to innovate and try new things. I like that the company moves quickly and allows us to learn as we go instead of overthinking change which can slow down movement. This can be challenging but creates a constant learning environment that I enjoy.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my daughter. She keeps me busy either as a spectator at one of her many basketball games or talking me into climbing 60-80 feet in the trees to complete random obstacle courses. I enjoy trying new things and have gone parasailing, white river rafting, skydiving, snorkeling, tubing, motorcycle riding and zip lining to name a few. I quickly bore of the things you can do every day and like to add a few adventures to life.
I like that my responsibilities involve interacting with employees, within different levels of our organization. I have the opportunity to learn new things about the company, business, and market every day. I enjoy the methodical approach of our operation. Our company culture recognizes that our company success, depends upon not just a vision or product, but the people who carry out the vision and build the product day in and day out. DriveTime fosters a culture, that allows their employees to grow.
My outside interest include, traveling, all things reality television (especially Real Housewives), great food, exercise, going to the Tampa Bay Rays baseball games (RAYS UP!), and spending time with family and friends.
DriveTime is honestly the best job I have ever had. Everyone here is treated like family, it's the best place to work if you enjoy a fun entertaining atmosphere. My position here at DriveTime is awesome. I get to do something that I love. To me DriveTime isn't just a job, I plan on it being my career.
I enjoy outdoor activities, me and my family love to go fishing and camping. I recently went zip lining and really enjoyed myself.
I love how collaborative and open DriveTime is. Every project utilizes the skills of every member of the team. It’s clear that it’s through the individual strengths of each member working together that a project reaches its full potential. I get to work with a marketing team that is constantly brainstorming how to improve all aspects of the car purchasing process. Being included in those conversations and contributing each day has already grown my understanding of the business immensely!
Outside of work you can find me in a hammock reading and listening to music. I like concerts, taking pictures, hiking and exploring.
What do you like most about working at DriveTime? The relationships I have built with both my coworkers and our employees. We are a very collaborative environment and I always feel that I can go to anyone with a question. There is a great work-life balance, and I truly believe that the company cares about my well-being.
What do you like to do outside of work? I love to spend time outside, and I try to hike and run as often as possible. Spending time with family and friends is my favorite thing to do.
If you truly love what you do every day, then your "job" is not a job ! Having a career with DriveTime is the most rewarding and fulfilling opportunity I have ever had. Being able to work amongst co-workers and leaders who are there to help make sure you are succeeding on a daily basis is the most rewarding aspect of my job. The culture at DriveTime is unlike any other business and it makes you truly appreciate being able to work for such an amazing company with outstanding leaders who are there to get you where you want to be!
Outside of work, I tend to keep busy with quite a few activities. I love to go to flea markets on weekends, where I find and then refurbish old furniture! I also love to golf as it’s something I've been doing since I was little. Going out and enjoying our boat is another fun activity I do. Being from the Midwest originally, I enjoy getting out and exploring what Arizona lakes have to offer!
I like the diversity of our culture at DriveTime. Although we share a common goal to service our customers, we find joy in the challenges of interacting interdepartmentally and constantly learning how our efforts effect each other's results!
In my free time I love traveling to exotic places, cycling, hiking, socializing, playing sports, watching sports, & eating exotic foods.
I like the career path and coaching I have received while with DriveTime. DriveTime has given me the chance to grow and develop as a leader. Also, the culture of learning and feedback exists at every level of the company so anyone who is looking for a career path can be successful.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family. Golfing, hiking and just being outside as much as possible are just a few of the things we like to do together.
For me, the ability to move into a wide range of areas within the company is the most significant benefit of working at DriveTime. I started as an intern working in our marketing department and then moved into retail when I became a full time employee. Since then it seems that every year or two I move into a different area of the business. Retail operations to IT, our call center, and now back in marketing. This was a perfect place for me since I didn’t have my mind set on what I wanted to do for a career.
Outside of work, I like great food, classic cars, golfing and the occasional kayak trip. But mostly, I’m relaxing at home watching a movie with my wife and dog.
