A used car dealer might not be the first place you’d look at to find an enviable workplace culture, but think again.
DriveTime Automotive Group is the nation’s second largest used car dealer and financing company helping people find used vehicles in the U.S. Based in Tempe, Arizona, DriveTime was founded in 2002 and currently operates over 140 dealerships in over 25 states (and growing!), employing more than 5,000 people across the country.
We have single-handedly rebuilt, retooled, redreamed, and reconfigured the way people think about buying cars, breaking apart the industry’s status quo. For more than 14 years, DriveTime has changed the auto world from the ground up while emphasizing values, morals and growth from the inside-out.Read More
We view benefits as a way to share the success of our organization and treat every employee as a valued member of the family.
Our benefits are what you’d expect from an innovative company who wants to take care of their own—full medical, dental and vision, generous PTO, paid holidays and more. But what sets us apart is a benefit you won’t find listed in an employee handbook—it’s our people.
No movement begins with just a single person. Every day our employees work side-by- side with other talented minds, creating friendships and moving our company forward. Together we work toward a common goal of doing what’s best for our customers, and we do that by building a strong work-family environment.Read More
Meet the DriveTime Crew!
We’re a team of innovators and engineers, movers and shakers, morning people and night owls, dreamers and believers, techies and talkers. But most of all we are a family. At DriveTime we’re fueled by the success of our employees as much as we are by the loyalty of our customers.
As an IT manager and seasoned self-help geek, I’m intensely curious about what engages people, what makes work fulfilling and how teams can achieve their full potential. DriveTime’s high performance culture is a perfect outlet for that curiosity. Every day I get to work with intelligent and talented personalities that challenge me as a manager and humble me as a person. I think what attracts those types of people to DriveTime is the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that push the automotive industry forward while being valued for who they are.
Luckily, Arizona has a lot to offer outside work as well. I generally gravitate towards Phoenix’s vibrant Latin dance community or the world class mountain bike trails of Sedona. As a former professional musician I also get my fill of live music at local venues and festivals. Additionally, as an equities day trader, Phoenix’s time zone makes it possible to trade in the morning before local working hours while the US stock exchanges are open.
